The Yellowstone Cutthroat is the most difficult of the four cutthroat trout species to collect in Utah. The other species can be difficult as well but there is only one area in the state of Utah that has Yellowstone Cutthroat. The far North/Western corner of the state has the mountain range of the Raft River. The tributaries to the Raft River contain lots of little Yellowstone Cutties if you can just get there! Check our upcoming video on YouTube - FishSlamClub. Lindsay and I (Kimball) were both able to complete the Utah Cutty Slam last week on the Johnson Fork of the Raft River. Very fun and very cool.
